book sale!
just got back from the annual williston-west uu church's book sale to beneft the friends of feral felines. (wow, thats a mouth full!) . i try to go every year and even request the day off from work if i have too...it is that good! this time i only spent ten dollars and got 7 books...i kept it together and only bought books i knew i would love and keep. one year i spent like thirty or fourty dollars! how many books did i think i needed?!
anyways, i am always getting rid of books and clothes but i am also trying to not bring in as much as i use to. thrift shopping will be the death of me!
this is what i got:
-a biography of frida kahlo (on my wishlist)
-a heartbreaking work of staggering genius by dave eggers(hardcover)
-open secrets by alice munro ( the queen of short stories; raymond carver is the king)
-zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance
-side effects by woody allen (should be a hoot)
-the wind up bird chronicles by haruki murakami ( top of my wishlist!)
-and i book i have never heard of but it had a cool cover- how the light gets in by m.j. hyland
overall, i am super psyched with my booty!
